Matthew Dallman has spent the past 26 years dedicating his life to soccer.  Matthew and his family moved to Hood River, OR from Portland in 1995.  Growing up playing club soccer, Matthew played for West Villa, FC Portland, Westside Metros, and IMG Academies.  Notable coaches Matthew played for during club soccer are Willie Anderson (Manchester United player), Tony Betts (Aston Villa player), John Baine (Portland Timbers player), Clive Charles (West Ham United, Portland Timbers player), Tom Durkin (U-17 USA National team coach).

After playing three years at the University of Portland, Matthew spent the next nine years playing professionally both internationally and domestically.  Notable coaches included Mortin Wieghorst (Celtic player, Danish National team player, FC Nordsjaelland coach, Swansea City assistant coach), Jorge Bohme (2002 World Cup Silver Medalist German National Team player), Andrzej Rudy (Ajax Amsterdam player).

The final three years of his professional playing career, Matthew was involved with the Pittsburgh Riverhound Soccer Academy in Pittsburgh, PA.  Through individual training, group training, and full team coaching, Matthew developed his passion for player development.

Matthew attributes his successful career to the foot skills, early development, and european style soccer he was taught throughout his youth.

UNIVERSITY OF PORTLAND 2006: Honorable Mention All-West Coast Conference selection … started 15 games and appeared in 19 as a midfielder … led the team and tied for second in the conference with six assists… finished third on the team with 10 points, 32 shots and 11 shots on goal and ranked fourth with two strikes. Named to Top Drawer Soccer’s National Team of the Week (Oct. 30).

UNIVERSITY OF PORTLAND 2005: Started and appeared in 17 games at midfielder ... led the Pilots with four assists ... also had one goal, six points, 26 shots and 24 shots on goal.

UNIVERSITY OF PORTLAND 2004: Finished as Portland’s fourth leading scorer with five goals and three assists as an attacking midfielder… named All-WCC Honorable Mention … All-WCC Freshman team selection … WCC Player of the Week (9-13).

HOOD RIVER VALLEY HS: Earned three letters for head coach Doug Beveridge … second team all-state and first team all-Intermountain League as a senior … second team all-league as a junior, honorable mention sophomore season … led team in assists all three seasons and holds the school’s career assist record … helped team reach state quarterfinals in 2002 and semifinals in 2003 … team co-captain … honor roll.
